Colleen Rennison (born December 2, 1987 ) is a Canadian actress and singer .

Life

As a child, Rennison was in front of the camera in various Canadian productions and, as a teenager, worked in the films In the Moment of Death (Unforgettable, 1996) by John Dahl and At Your Side ( The Story of Us , 1999). She also had a role in the short film A Feeling Called Glory produced in 2000 .

She also sang in various Canadian cover bands , but much preferred to write and perform her own music. She moved to New York and studied singing and performance at the Circle in the Square drama school, but was banned from class because her voice was too deep for all female roles.

After her return to Vancouver she founded the band No Sinner together with the former bassist of the band Hot Hot Heat , Parker Bossley , with which she first released a single and then an EP in Canada. After the album Boo Hoo Hoo was released in Europe in January 2014, she was in the limelight here as a singer who is compared to Amy Winehouse , Etta James and Janis Joplin .
