Nobunaga no Shinobi ( Japanese 信 長 の 忍 び , German "Nobunagas Ninja (s)") is a manga series by Naoki Shigeno that has been published in Japan since 2008 . The Yonkoma manga received several offshoots and in 2016 it was also implemented as an anime television series , which was published internationally, including the German-speaking countries, as Ninja Girl & Samurai Master .
content
The series revolves around the young ninja Chidori ( 千 鳥 ), who was in the service of Prince Oda Nobunaga during the Sengoku period . As a little child she was saved by him and therefore left her village and came to his court when she was old enough. She was accompanied by her friend Sukezō ( 助 蔵 ), who is also by her side and is secretly in love with her. Chidori is a very talented fighter, but at the same time clumsy and often acts stupid. She helps Oda Nobunaga in his plan to extend his rule, eventually rule over all of Japan and bring peace to the country with the end of the civil war. She meets many other historical personalities and experiences important events in the history of Japan.
Manga publications
The original series has been published in the Seinen magazine Young Animal published by Hakusensha since 2008 . The chapters have also been published in nine edited volumes so far. The ninth volume sold over 17,000 copies in Japan in the first week.
The branch Nobunaga no Shinobi has been published since 2012 : Owari Tōitsu-ki ( 信 長 の 忍 び 外 伝 尾張 統一 記 ), also by Naoki Shigeno in Young Animal Arashi magazine . The collective edition so far comprises one volume. The offshoot Gunshi Kuroda Kanbē Den ( 軍師 黒 田官兵 衛 伝 ) has been published in Young Animal Densi since 2013 and has two anthologies to date. In the same year started in the comic Ran Twins Sengoku Busho Retsuden the offshoot Masamune-sama to Kagetsuna-kun ( 政 宗 宗 ま と 景 綱 く ん ) with an anthology so far. The latest offshoot, Sanada Tamashii ( 真 田 魂 ), has been published in Young Animal Densi magazine since 2015 .
Anime adaptation
In 2016 TMS Entertainment made an adaptation of the manga as an anime television series. Directed by Akitarō Daichi , the character design created Junko Yamanaka and the artistic direction was with Manami Koyama . Ikuyo Fujita was responsible for the editing . The four-minute episodes have been broadcast weekly by Tokyo MX since October 4, 2016 and by Aichi Television Broadcasting since October 9 . The Crunchyroll platform makes the series available as a simulcast under the title Ninja Girl & Samurai Master via streaming, including with German subtitles.
