content

world

By means of a quantum theory , it has become possible in the future to send people through time and space into the past. These time travel are risky and cause great pain for travelers.

It is also possible for warriors from another dimension to use them to generate energy balls with their hands, which they use as an offensive weapon. Creating the balls takes a lot of effort and, like time travel, is painful.

action

The girl Haruka Kaminogi ( 上 乃 木 ハ ル カ ) lives with her divorced mother in Hakodate on Hokkaidō . Her friend Yū Gotō ( 後 藤 ユ ウ ) is put under pressure by his mother that he should study at the university in Tokyo and that he has to learn a lot. Despite his mother's ban, Yū accompanies Haruka and her friends Ai Hasebe ( 長 谷 部 ア イ ), Isami Fujiwara ( 藤原 イ サ ミ ) and Miho Mukai ( 向 井 ミ ホ ) on a ghost hunt. Haruka is attacked and pursued by a figure. Later she faces another one and Yū joins them. It turns out that both figures have traveled through time and are after the magical dragon ring that Haruka wears invisibly around his neck. One is called Karasu ( カ ラ ス ), the other Noein ( ノ エ イ ン ).

Soon it happens that Haruka is taken into his world by Karasu and his colleagues. This is 15 years in the future, but the world is completely different. Quantum mechanics events using new technologies affected time and space. So the world plunged into chaos and finally into a third world war . The few surviving people are now being attacked from another dimension, Shangri La , the world of Noeine. The settlement of Lachryma , in the former Hakodate, is also affected and has therefore developed the time travel technique and wants to use the dragon ring to fight against Shangri La. It turns out that Karasu is the Yū of the future. His colleagues are also former friends of Haruka from her childhood. But Haruka himself died as a result of the events, so that Karasu now doubts whether it is right to use the young Haruka for the purposes of Lachryma. But Lachryma's researchers say that Haruka and her world are just an illusion and therefore Haruka is not real either.

Soon, however, Karasu brings Haruka back into her world, because he still considers her to be real and wants to protect her. There, the physicist Ryōko Uchida ( 内 田 涼子 ) and her partner Kyōji Kōriyama ( 郡山 京 schen ) are researching strange incidents in the city, where they also come across Haruka's disappearance. You work for a consortium that wants to enable particularly fast journeys through quantum technology. When Karasu and Haruka return, they help them and, together with their friends, confront the warriors of Lachryma. These are killed by Noein or join Karasu when they realize that this world is also real.

Despite all warnings from Uchida and Kōriyama, the quantum technology project is started, which means that the Shangri Las war machines can also penetrate Haruka's world. Haruka is drawn into Noein's world with her friends. This represents a different future for Yū, who has also lost Haruka. Because of this he lost his humanity and wants to subjugate all people as disembodied beings. Karasu and Yū, however, can defeat him and the Shangri Las war machines are repulsed by Karasu's comrades-in-arms.

reception

According to the German trade magazine MangasZene , the plot of the series is initially confusing due to changing locations and characters, but offers an exciting story and is particularly recommended to mystery and science fiction fans.
