Noel Yvri Sandwith
Noel Yvri Sandwith (born September 8, 1901 in Harworth , Nottinghamshire , † May 7, 1965 in Kew ) was an English botanist . Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Sandwith ".
Live and act
His father was Edward Pitcairn Sandwith, his mother Cecil Ivry Sandwith. Noel Yvri Sandwith worked at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew from 1924 . He was considered a specialist in Bignoniaceae and the South American flora.
Honors
After him the plant genera are Sandwithia Lanj. from the family of the milkweed plants (Euphorbiaceae), Sandwithiodendron Aubrév. et Pellegr. and Sandwithiodoxa Aubrév. et Pellegr. from the family of the Sapotaceae .
