Noisehunter are a German hard rock or heavy metal band that has sold around half a million records worldwide.

Band history

Noisehunter were founded in the late 1970s by Hanni Vasiliadis (v / g), Erwin Perle (g) and Ronny Lewandowski (dr) under the name Noise in Hackenbroich / Dormagen ( Neuss district ). After some legal conflicts, they agreed on the band name Noisehunter in the mid-1980s .

Shortly after the first was demo in Dierks Studios in Stommeln recorded and the band got a record deal with the label GAMA Records , where the first album called Time to Fight appeared. Shortly afterwards, they went on a successful tour of Germany. The then bassist Rainer Hormel left the band and was replaced by Matthias Nicklas. The most successful Noisehunter disc Spell of Noise to date was recorded in this line-up . Noisehunter played as the first German metal band in 1989 in the GDR and also toured in Austria , France , the Netherlands , Belgium , the CSSR and Hungary .

A short time later, the international label ZYX Music bought the entire rights to the band and the Breeze Musik Verlag (Scorpions / Accept) could be engaged as a partner. In 1989 the album Too young to die was recorded for the new label , which offered less metal than its two predecessors and sounded a bit more commercial. The album didn't go over very well with many metal fans.

In the early 1990s Erwin Perle and Matthias Nicklas left the band and they tried to develop further. Hanny Vasiliadis resigned from his position as a singer and only played rhythm guitar, and a talented young singer was hired. The label and distribution were no longer interested in another release, as they feared another flop. Therefore some demos were recorded on their own but only released years later. After a few years in the underground , the band broke up in 1997 and band founder Hanni kept the musical rights as the main songwriter.

Hanni Vasiliadis opened a rock and metal bar in a suburb of Neuss and made pop music for the duo Die Originalen . He was hardly to be found on stage, with the exception of some guest appearances with local heavy bands, such as B. the black metallers from Wishing Nightfall from Cologne or the Dormagen heavy rock band Bloody Rain .

In 2004 band boss Hanni Vasiliadis sold the rights to the Karthago Records label . The three old records were remastered and reissued with bonus tracks, and a new album was released called Rock Shower . This album contained the pieces that were recorded in the 1990s with the then new singer.
