Nolte Decar

Nolte Decar is a German duo of authors consisting of Jakob Nolte (* 1988 ) and Michel Decar (* 1987 ).

Life

Jakob Nolte and Michel Decar met at the 2010 World Chess Championship in Sofia , where they were both accredited as journalists. Shortly afterwards, they began studying at the Berlin University of the Arts and decided to write plays together. Her first play "Helmut Kohl Runs Through Bonn" came out in 2013 at the Theater Bonn and was invited to the Autorentheatertage shortly afterwards. In 2014 the play "Das Tierreich" followed, for which they received the Brothers Grimm Prize of the State of Berlin and which was performed by numerous theaters. Together with the director Matthias Rippert they developed the plays "Maggie T." and "The People Shark". In June 2015 Nolte Decar's play "Der neue Himmel" premiered at the Deutsches Theater Berlin .
