Michel Decar
Michel Decar (* 1987 in Augsburg ) is a German writer, playwright and director.
Life
Decar grew up in Augsburg. He later studied at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the University of the Arts in Berlin . He has been invited to numerous festivals and awarded for his work.
Michel Decar's radio plays have been produced by Deutschlandfunk Kultur since 2014 . His plays have been performed at over 50 theaters in Germany and abroad, including the Thalia Theater Hamburg , Maxim Gorki Theater and Residenztheater Munich . In 2018 his first novel Tausend deutsche Diskotheken was published . In 2020, for example , his film Europa ran in the competition for the Max Ophüls Prize .
Together with Jakob Nolte he also writes under the pseudonym " Nolte Decar ".
