Nomad is a Polish death metal band from Opoczno that was formed in 1994.

history

The band was formed in 1994 by singer Bleyzabel Balberith and bassist Herman. After two years of rehearsal, the band went to the Salman Studio in Białystok to record the first demo Disorder . In October 1997, the band went to the Selani Studio to record the debut album The Tail of Substance , which was released a little later. To promote the album, the band went on tour with Christ Agony and Lux Occulta . In 1998 the band recorded four new songs, whereby the band reached a contract with Novum Vox Mortis . After the band had recorded three more songs in February 1999, the album The Devilish Whirl was released on this label. Her next album Demonic Verses (Blessed Are Those Who Kill Jesus) was recorded in 2002 at Hendrix Studio . It was released in May 2004 on Baphomet Records . In 2006, the band returned to the Hendrix Studio to record The Independence of Observation Choice (Luce Clarius) , which was released on Empire Records in June 2007 . In 2009 the album was released worldwide on Animate Records . In the same year, the band began recording their next album, which was released in March 2011 under the name Transmigration of Consciousness on Witching Hour Productions .

style

According to Dr. O. from musikreviews.de the band plays unusual Death Metal on Transmigration of Consciousness , which sometimes reminds me of Lost Soul . The band focuses less on fast, aggressive elements, but on atmosphere and rhythm . The playing of the instruments is not technically very demanding, while the vocals are not growled in the typical Death Metal style , but rather "barked". In addition, the band occasionally lapses into Black Metal . You can hear their Polish origins in the English texts.
