Nomada guttulata is a bee from the family of Apidae .
features
The bees are 10 to 12 millimeters long. The head and thorax of the females are colored black and have red markings. The tergites are partially spotted yellow, at least the first tergite is basal and in some individuals the others are black. The labrum is red and has a tooth in the middle. The third antennae is shorter than the fourth. The scutellum is red and has weakly pronounced bumps. The rails ( tibia ) of the hind legs have three black, short, small thorns standing close together at the end. The males look similar to the females, but sometimes have yellow markings on their faces. They lack clearly recognizable thorns on the rails.
Occurrence and way of life
The species is distributed throughout Europe. The animals fly from mid-April to early July. They parasitize Andrena labiata and maybe Andrena potentillae as well .
