Nomy (musician)

Nomy (real name Patrick Berndt Boris Marquardt , born December 15, 1979 ) is a Swedish musician and singer. He comes from Ulricehamn and now lives in Jönköping . He gained notoriety through the publication of his songs on the Internet.

In the 1990s Nomy released Eurodance and Psytrance music, later focusing on producing rock music in his own home studio.

Nomy doesn't have a record deal, but is self-employed and sells or distributes his works on the Internet. In his songs he mostly plays guitar and sings, some other things happen on the computer. The songs range from rock to ballads, often influenced by punk and metal bands such as Bad Religion , Danko Jones or In Flames . Even Elvis Presley is a great inspiration for the musician.

Spotify is one of the most important platforms for Nomy, where it was already in 10th place in the world's bestsellers. He also sells some albums on his own website. He was nominated for a Grammy for Innovator of the Year in 2010 .

In 2015 Nomy had eight gold , two double platinum and one platinum records.
