Nonhle Beryl

Nonhle Beryl (born December 24, 1983 in Durban ) is a South African singer, actress and author.

Life

After studying at the Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria, where she studied Musical Theater , she moved to New York in 2002. There she studied at the New York Film Academy and graduated in acting for film, television and theater. After graduating, she appeared in various Broadway musicals. She also played in the musicals The Lion King , Hair , Hairspray and Sister Act . Most recently, she was on stage in Hamburg as Rafiki in the German version of The Lion King .

On German television she was seen in October 2013 in the third season of The Voice of Germany . In the second phase, in which she left, she was coached by Max Herre .

In 2014, Nonhles Beryl's first studio album was released as a download, for which she recorded various Christmas songs. She particularly focused on traditional Christmas carols from her home country and in her mother tongue isiZulu .
