Profronde van Fryslân

The Profronde van Fryslân ( Friesland Tour ) is a Dutch road bike race.

It has been held annually in the Dutch province of Friesland since 2004 ; initially until 2006 under the name Noord-Nederland Tour , 2007 as Profonde van Fryslân and since 2008 as Batavus Prorace . The race is part of the UCI Europe Tour and is classified in category 1.1.

The victory of the first edition was awarded to all drivers of a top group of 22 due to a misdirection on the last 15 kilometers. Including the Dutchman Bobbie Traksel , who crossed the finish line first.
