Noozles ( jap. ふしぎなコアラブリンキー, Fushigi na koala Blinky , even The Noozles , Blinky the Mysterious Koala or Blinky and Printy ) is a Japanese anime - television series from Nippon Animation from 1984. It is about the adventures of a girl with two Koalas and has been translated into German, among other things.

content

Sandy Brown, a ten-year-old girl, lives with her grandmother while her father, an archaeologist, travels. Her father gives Sandy two cloth koalas and when she rubs her nose, the stuffed animals come to life. The koalas, Blinky and his sister Pinky, have fled koalawalla land from the evil kangaroos. They hide from them on earth and go on some adventures with Sandy. They are helped by Blinky's watch, which can stop time, and Pinky's powder compact, which can open a dimensional gate. On their adventures, they also have to fend off the kangaroo police, two poachers and a dimensional traveling lizard.

Production and publication

The series was created in 1984 at Studio Nippon Animation , directed by Taku Sugiyama and Noboru Ishiguro, based on a script by Taku Sugiyama and Michiru Tanabe . The character design comes from Isamu Noda and the artistic direction was Kōichi Kudō and Masamichi Takano . The music was composed by Reijiro Komutsu and the opening credits song is Fushigi Ufufu . The final title is Shabadaba Dakedo . Both songs were sung by Tarako.

The creation of the anime is related to the arrival of six koalas that Australia gave Japan as a gift in 1984. These sparked an enthusiasm for animals in the country, in the course of which several series were created. Koala bears forays ran parallel to TV Tokyo , Fuji TV's rival channel.

The 26 episodes, each 25 minutes long, were first broadcast on Fuji TV in Japan from July 7th to December 28th, 1984 . A German broadcast took place for the first time in 1990 on RTLplus . Various repetitions followed on RTL2 and RTL as well as Fox Kids . Saban Entertainment produced an English version which was shown by Nickelodeon and the BBC . Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic and French dubbed versions were also broadcast on television.
