Kōichi Kudō ( Japanese 工藤 孝 一 , Kudō Kōichi ; born February 4, 1909 in Iwate Prefecture ; † September 21, 1971 in Tokyo ) was a Japanese football player and coach.

Career

Kudō played for Waseda University in his youth . At the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin , he was assistant coach of the Olympic team under Shigeyoshi Suzuki . In 1942 he was in charge of the Japanese national soccer team . On September 21, 1971, he died of heart failure in Tokyo at the age of 62.
