Norah de Kresz
Norah Drewett de Kresz (born Norah Drewett ; born November 14, 1882 in London , † April 24, 1960 in Budapest ) was an English pianist and music teacher.
Norah Drewett was a piano student of Victor Alphonse Duvernoy at the Paris Conservatory and Bernhard Stavenhagen in Munich and took brief lessons from Leonid Kreutzer in Berlin. She performed as a soloist and chamber musician and made her debut as a concert pianist in Monte Carlo in 1904. In 1918 she married the violinist Géza de Kresz . She taught at the Toronto Consdervatory of Music and the Hambourg Conservatory from 1928 to 1935 and at the Budapest National Conservatory from 1938 to 1941 . After that she gave private lessons. Patricia Blomfield Holt and Ida Krehm were among her students .
