Victor Alphonse Duvernoy

Victor Alphonse Duvernoy (born August 30, 1842 in Paris ; † March 7, 1907 there ) was a French composer and pianist .

Life

Victor Alphonse Duvernoy, son of the singer Charles-François Duvernoy , was a student of Antoine François Marmontel and François Bazin at the Conservatoire de Paris , where he taught piano from 1886. He has also worked as a piano virtuoso since his training.

He created operas, a ballet, symphonic and chamber music compositions as well as piano works, the pedagogical compositions of the latter being known and in use to this day.
