Norbert Beck

Norbert Beck (born July 26, 1954 in Renningen ) is a CDU politician from Baden-Württemberg . He has been a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg since 2007 .

Life

Norbert Beck completed his Abitur at the Johannes-Kepler-Gymnasium in Leonberg and then did his basic military service in 1973/74 . This was followed from 1974 to 1978 by an apprenticeship as a graduate in administration at the city of Leonberg, the municipality of Renningen and at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Stuttgart . He then worked until 1983 as head of the regulatory, cultural and sports office and from then on until 1988 as head of the main office of the city of Renningen.

Political activity

From 1989 to August 31, 2011, Norbert Beck was mayor of the Baiersbronn community . In 1989 he won against the then incumbent Ernst-Ullrich Köpf. He was able to repeat the election success in 1996 and 2004. In terms of local politics, he has also been a member of the Freudenstadt District Council since 1994 .

He came into state politics on September 19, 2007, replacing the retired MP Carmina Brenner . He represents the constituency of Freudenstadt in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . In the 15th electoral term he is the deputy chairman of the Petitions Committee.

In addition to politics, he is deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Volksbank Baiersbronn eG., Member of the supervisory board of Kreisbaugenossenschaft Freudenstadt eG., Chairman of the waste water disposal association Baiersbronn-Freudenstadt , member of the administrative board of the special purpose association Kleine Kinzig and a member of the regional advisory board of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg.

Family and private

Norbert Beck has been married since 1975. He is Protestant and has two daughters.
