Norbert Fischer (lawyer)
Norbert Otto Theodor Fischer (born December 24, 1927 in Breslau ; † July 29, 2006 in Düsseldorf ) was a German lawyer and banker .
Life
Fischer studied law and received his doctorate in law from the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster in 1956 . Among other things, he was a board member of Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale Düsseldorf (West LB) and chairman of the board of the machine tool manufacturer Wilhelm Hegenscheidt from Erkelenz.
He was particularly committed to the German Red Cross and was its president in the North Rhine regional association, chairman of the supervisory board of the blood donation service in North Rhine-Westphalia and chairman of the presidential council, a constitutional body consisting of the presidents of the 19 independent regional associations.
