Norbert Henke (born October 10, 1939 in Münster ) was a judge at the German Federal Social Court from 1986 to 2004 .

Norbert Henke, born on October 10, 1939 in Münster (Westphalia), passed the state legal examinations in Hamm and Düsseldorf after studying in Münster, Berlin and Strasbourg . After several years of practical work in the field of labor and social law, he worked at the Institute for Social Law at the Ruhr University in Bochum from 1974 . In 1980 he became a judge in the service of social justice , first at the Social Court Dortmund , then at the Social Court of North Rhine-Westphalia . In 1986 he was appointed judge at the Federal Social Court. There he belonged first to the 9th Senate, later to the 7th Senate. From March 1998 he was presiding judge of the 13th Senate (disputes in the area of ​​pension insurance).

Dr. Henke was a member of the Presidium for ten years. He has published numerous articles and papers in the field of social law. Because he had reached the age limit, he retired at the end of October 2004.
