Positions and reception

In his lectures and publications, Lüdecke repeatedly refers to the fundamental teaching of the church and thus corrects misinterpretations. Among other things, Lüdecke together with Georg Bier takes the position that the CIC / 1983 is the framework for the interpretation of the Second Vatican Council and refers to the dogmatized role of the Pope. Therefore the Second Vatican Council cannot be claimed as a “reform council”. Myriam Wijlens wrote "Your approach is not received abroad, in the German-speaking area it hardly finds supporters among colleagues or is explicitly rejected". Michael Böhnke judged: "Ecclesiologically, this legal positivism, which pays homage to the Pope's sole rule, through which not only the spirit but also the adopted texts of the Council can be undermined, is one-sided, shortening and therefore unacceptable."
