Norbert Loacker

Norbert Loacker (born July 22, 1939 in Altach / Vorarlberg ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

Norbert Loacker was born in Altach, Vorarlberg. He studied classical philology, history and philosophy at the University of Vienna . After completing his studies (lic. Phil.), He moved to Zurich and taught Latin and history at grammar schools there. From 1977 to 1984 he worked as an editor at Kindler Verlag Zurich. From 1997 to 2004 he worked first as a board member, then as president of the Robert Walser Foundation (formerly the Carl Seelig Foundation) in Zurich. He lives in Kaltenbach in the canton of Thurgau.

Norbert Loacker is a member of the Austrian PEN Club and Literature Vorarlberg .
