Norbert Michalowsky
Norbert Michalowsky (born July 7, 1957 in Greifswald ) is a former German badminton player .
In 1975 he won a silver and a bronze medal in the double disciplines at the GDR junior championships. In the same year he also started his career in the first Greifswald team by winning the GDR team championship, and eight more titles by 1987 were to follow. 1983 was his most successful year when he won the bronze medal in the GDR individual championships in both mixed and doubles. Norbert appeared twice for the GDR national team.
Ilona Michalowsky , Erfried Michalowsky , Edgar Michalowski , Lothar Michalowsky , Katja Michalowsky , Angela Michalowski and Petra Michalowsky also ensured sporting success for the extended Michalowsky family .
Norbert Michalowsky still lives in Greifswald today and can occasionally be found in the line-up of his home team.
