Norbert Mutzbauer

Norbert Mutzbauer (born February 4, 1957 in Coburg ) is a German lawyer and former judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

Career

After passing the Second State Examination in 1985, Mutzbauer entered the higher judicial service of the Free State of Bavaria . Here he was employed at the Traunstein Regional Court , the Rosenheim District Court and the public prosecutor's office at the Munich II Regional Court . In 1988 he was appointed public prosecutor. In the same year at the Mutzbauer was University of Munich with the investigation , the sovereign design private law agreed prices through legislation and administrative decisions to Dr. iur. PhD. In 1990 he was transferred to the Munich II Regional Court as a judge. From 1991 to 1994 Mutzbauer was a research assistant at the Federal Court of Justice. Then he was a full-time head of the working groups for junior lawyers at the Munich I Regional Court . In 2000 Mutzbauer was promoted to judge at the Munich Higher Regional Court , but remained seconded to the Munich I Regional Court. In 2002 he was appointed presiding judge at the Munich Regional Court I, and in 2004 a judge at the Munich Higher Regional Court. Until 2005, Mutzbauer was seconded to the Bavarian Supreme Court .

On July 1, 2008, Mutzbauer was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice. Here he was assigned to the 4th Criminal Senate. In November 2016 he was appointed presiding judge at the Federal Court of Justice, whereupon the Presidium of the Federal Court of Justice assigned him the chairmanship of the 5th Criminal Senate and the Senate for tax consultant and tax agent matters.

On April 30, 2020, Mutzbacher ended his active service due to a partial retirement scheme.
