Norbert Rasch (born May 11, 1971 in Czarnowanz , Poland ) is a Polish politician and member of the German minority . Since 2008 he has been chairman of the Social-Cultural Society of Germans in Opole Silesia .

Life

Norbert Rasch studied German at the University of Opole . He has been active in local politics since the 1990s and in 2005 became a member of the regional parliament ( Sejmik ) of the Opole Voivodeship . In the Polish local elections in 2006, he received a mandate for the Sejmik for the second time. Since 2010 he has been chairman of the committee for foreign cooperation and public relations and chairman of the faction of the German minority in the regional parliament.

Member of the board of the Society of Polish Municipalities in the Altvater Euroregion since 2005, now as vice chairman.

On April 26, 2008, Norbert Rasch was elected chairman of the Social-Cultural Society of Germans in Opole Silesia, after long-time chairman Henryk Kroll resigned from his position. In doing so, he prevailed against the Sejm MP Ryszard Galla .

Since 2008 Rasch has been a member of the Council of the Foundation for the Development of Silesia and the Promotion of Local Initiatives, based in Opole.

Since May 11, 2009 he has been a member of the board of the Association of German Social-Cultural Societies in Poland . On May 7, 2011, Norbert Rasch was re-elected chairman of the Social-Cultural Society of Germans in Opole Silesia.

In 2011 he took part in a study trip to the USA as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program.

Norbert Rasch has been Vice Chairman of the Eichendorff Conservatory since 2013 and a member of the Association of Silesian Local Politicians.

Norbert Rasch is also a member of the Proskauer Echo music group .
