Norbert Schausberger (born December 11, 1928 in Vienna ; † September 3, 2010 in Klagenfurt ) was an Austrian time historian .

Life

Schausberger studied at the University of Vienna , since 1953 he worked as a high school professor. In 1972 he completed his habilitation and in 1974 became full professor at the University of Klagenfurt . For many years, Schausberger was head of the Institute for Contemporary History .

He was particularly interested in the subjects of "political education" and "adult education". Schausberger's research focused on the period 1939–45 and German economic interests in Austria.

He was buried in Vienna in the Groß-Jedlersdorfer Friedhof (group 30, row 4, number 2).
