Norbert Thienel

Norbert Thienel (born March 7, 1907 in Neisse , Silesia, † April 27, 1977 ) was a German administrative lawyer and ministerial official .

Professional career

After studying law and receiving his doctorate , he was Agricultural Councilor in the Reichsnährstand from 1934 to 1940 and, after military service (1940 to 1942), a consultant in the Reich Ministry of Food and Agriculture . A career in the private sector was followed by an administrative career in the newly founded state of North Rhine-Westphalia : in 1948 in the State Food Office and in 1949 in the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forests . In 1952, Thienel moved to the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forests , where he was temporarily the personal advisor to Federal Minister Heinrich Lübke .

From March 1, 1967 until his retirement in 1972, Norbert Thienel was State Secretary in the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forests of North Rhine-Westphalia.
