Nordglanz is an NSBM band from Frankfurt am Main that comes from the right-wing rock environment . The Office for the Protection of the Constitution of the State of Hesse describes the band as a right-wing extremist skinhead band in the 2006 report on the Protection of the Constitution ;

biography

Nordglanz end of the 1990s, was designed by the due sedition convicted, rioting, assault and aggravated assault Norbert "Njord" Noleppa as a one-man project under the name Hyperborean founded. According to his own information, the first demo recording with the name Hevn eller befrielse was released in 1999.

The first appearance took place in 2002, by then the bassist and drummer had also joined the band. In the same year the album Nordglanz was also recorded, but it was not officially released. It was not until two years later that parts of these recordings were published as a cassette under the title Genocide in an edition of 88 copies.

At the end of 2003 a keyboard player joined the band and several appearances followed, mostly in the RAC movement. During this time the band was renamed Nordglanz. In 2004 the album Heldenreich was created , which was released in early 2005. On the album you will find the tracks with the title Performs Resistance! and Gates of Heaven cover versions by Frank Rennicke and Absurd . While Rennicke's title clearly has political traits, the Absurd cover is just a depressive and anti-Christian song.

At the end of 2005 bassist Felix left the band to devote himself to his own band Blutschuld. This was replaced by "football" by the band Rachezug. On the other hand, the drummer left the band. He was replaced by Skil. In March 2006 the next album Kampfhymnen Germaniens was recorded, which was released in the summer of 2006. After the recordings were finished, the keyboardist left the band.

In April 2006 a concert by Nordglanz, Oidoxie u. a. prevented by the police in advance. In September 2006 the band went back to the studio and recorded the album Völkischer Schwarzmetall , which was released in the summer of 2007. On the album there is again an absurd cover version with When the old still were young . Meanwhile, in the spring of 2007, a new keyboardist named Hardy joined the band. In June 2009 the new edition of the album Heldenreich was released . The new edition was released in a digipack and contains, in addition to the old songs, a newly recorded bonus song.

Style and content

The band itself assigns itself to Black Metal through the title of their fourth album, Völkischer Schwarzmetall , although the music goes more into the area of rock. The distorted vocals are more like metal again.

The texts are pagan in nature, but also often deal with historical events, especially the Second World War. This is how the German eastern front is described in Volgawinter , where "far in the east [the soldiers] fought against the red power". In White Rose, on the other hand, the achievements of the resistance fighters are negated, who are described as "little fish that wanted to go up", "red figures" and, according to the band, wanted to "split the country". Winston Churchill is described in Wotan strafe England as a pure anti-Germanist who, out of pure hatred of the German people, allowed attacks to be carried out: “The shame of England / A murderer appointed sir. / Shame on the masters / they wielded his murderous hand. / He hated German people, / that's how it is known. ” In the same song, Rudolf Hess is also glorified as a German peacemaker and martyr . The band is openly committed to the right-wing extremist scene.

Side projects

Norbert Noleppa, Skil and Fußball also play in the side project Ahnenerbe, which is musically described as a mixture between Death Metal and RAC . Noleppa also plays with members of Kraftschlag and Noie values in the right-wing rock band Faust.
