Abuná is a province in the northern central part of the Pando department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia . The province is named after the river Río Abuná , the border river to the neighboring country Brazil.
location
The province is one of five provinces in the Pando department. It borders the Republic of Brazil to the north, the Nicolás Suárez Province to the northwest and west, the Manuripi Province to the south , and the Federico Román Province to the east .
It extends between 9 ° 53 'and 11 ° 06' south latitude and 66 ° 27 'and 67 ° 42' west longitude, its length from east to west is 350 km, its latitude from north to south between 120 and 250 kilometers.

The province of Abuná was divided into the following two municipalities in the 2012 census :
- Municipio Santa Rosa del Abuná (4,440 km²) in the western part of the province - 2,395 inhabitants - 0.7 inhabitants / km²
- Municipio Ingavi (Humaitá) (5,227 km²) in the eastern part of the province - 1,654 inhabitants - 0.3 inhabitants / km²
