Madre de Dios is a province in the southern part of the Pando department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia . The province is named after the river Madre de Dios , which forms the northern border of the province.
location
The province is one of five provinces in the Pando department. It borders in the north with the province of Manuripi , in the south-west with the department La Paz , and in the south-east with the department Beni .
It extends between 10 ° 54 'and 12 ° 28' south latitude and 66 ° 05 'and 67 ° 58' west longitude, its length from southwest to northeast is 390 kilometers, its width up to 150 kilometers.

- 09-0301 Municipio Puerto Gonzales Moreno (1,275 km²) in the eastern part of the province - 8,160 inhabitants - 6.4 inhabitants / km²
- 09-0302 Municipio San Lorenzo (3,086 km²) in the central part of the province - 7,652 inhabitants - 2.5 inhabitants / km²
- 09-0303 Municipio Sena (7,631 km²) in the western part of the province - 8,258 inhabitants - 1.1 inhabitants / km²
