The municipality of Puerto Gonzales Moreno is a district in the Pando department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The municipality of Puerto Gonzales Moreno ( also : Puerto Gonzalo Moreno) is one of three municipalities in the province of Madre de Dios and includes its northeastern area. It borders the Municipio San Pedro in the north, the Municipio San Lorenzo in the west , and the Beni department in the southeast .

The municipality extends between about 10 ° 54 'and 11 ° 27' south latitude and 66 ° 05 'and 66 ° 30' west longitude, its expansion from west to east is up to 45 kilometers, from north to south up to 40 kilometers .

The municipality comprises 21 municipalities ( localidades ), the central place of the municipality is the town of Puerto Gonzalo Moreno with 1,839 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the northeastern part of the district opposite the city of Riberalta .
