Nicolás Suárez is a province in the northwestern part of the Pando Department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia . The province was called " Tahuamanu Province" until 1951 , since then it has been named after the rubber baron Nicolás Suárez (1861–1940), who owned large parts of the Pando and Beni departments during the rubber boom .

location

The province is one of five provinces in the Pando department. It borders the Republic of Brazil to the north, the Republic of Peru to the west, the Manuripi province to the south , and the Abuná province to the east .

It extends between 10 ° 39 'and 11 ° 27' south latitude and 67 ° 33 'and 69 ° 34' west longitude, its longitude from southwest to northeast is 370 kilometers, its latitude from north to south up to 100 kilometers.
