history
Borek was first mentioned in a document in 1267. The village had belonged to the Teutonic Knights Order since the 12th century and was part of the Miletín rule .
After the abolition of patrimonial Borek formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Chroustov in the district of Hradec Králové and from 1900 in the district of Nová Paka.
In 1921 the village gained its independence. At the same time, Lukaveček, which had also belonged to Chroustov until then, was reorganized. In 1961 Želejov was incorporated, and at the same time the community came to Okres Jičín.
On January 1, 1975, the municipality of Borek with its districts Želejov and Lukaveček was incorporated into Miletín. Lukaveček lost its status as a district of Miletín on March 1, 1980 and has since formed a settlement belonging to Borek. The parish has existed again since November 24, 1990. At this time the district Bezník came to Borek; until 1975 independent municipality was until 1990 a district of Miletín.
