Konecchlumí (German Konetzchlum ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 10 kilometers southeast of Jičín and belongs to the Okres Jičín district .
geography
Konecchlumí is located in the headwaters of the Bukovka on the western tip of the Mlázovický Chlum , part of the Horschitz sandstone ridge, at the foot of the Hůra mountain (389 m). The European road 442 / State road 35 between Hradec Králové and Jičín runs through the village .
Neighboring towns are Kamenice in the north, Mlázovice in the northeast, Mezihoří in the east, Podhorní Újezd a Vojice in the southeast, Třtěnice and Kabáty in the south, Kovač in the southwest, Kacákova Lhota in the west and Řeheč and Úlibice in the northwest.
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1226. The existence of the church has been documented since 1355. Around 1400 the Konecchlumí water fortress was built, to which moats from the Bukovka led.
Since the beginning of the 16th century the place belonged to the Konecchlumský from Konecchlumí. After the Battle of White Mountain , their property was confiscated and Wilhelm the Elder was executed in Prague in 1621. In the 18th century the Counts Trauttmansdorff became owners of the place.
After the abolition of patrimonial Konecchlumí became a municipality in the Jičín District in 1850. In the 1930s the community came to Okres Hořice and after its dissolution in 1961 back to Okres Jičín. In 1961, Kamenice and Kovač were incorporated into Konecchlumí, and since November 24, 1990, Kovač has been a municipality again.
Community structure
The municipality Konecchlumí consists of the districts Kamenice ( Kamenitz ) and Konecchlumí ( Konetzchlum ).
Attractions
- Church of St. Peter and Paul; the baroque building, created by Donatius Theodor Morazzi from 1728–1729, was built on the account of Franz Norbert von Trauttmansdorff in place of a previous Gothic building from the 14th century.
- Monument to William the Elder Konecchlumský von Konecchlumí, erected in 1907
- The Konecchlumí fortress, built at the beginning of the 15th century, is now part of a farmyard. The last modifications were made in 1910.
- Kamenice Castle; the three-wing classicist complex was given its present form during renovations in 1794 and around 1850. The structure dates back to a fortress from the 15th century.
