Jičíněves (German Jičínowes ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located in Bohemia six kilometers south of Jičín and belongs to the Jitschin district in the Königgrätzer region .

history

Jičíněves was first mentioned in 1360 and was then owned by the Diviš of Jičíněves. Before 1540 it belonged to the underage Wilhelm Otmar von Holohlav. His guardian sold it to Barbara von Boskowitz , who was married to Georg von Waldstein . Under Johann d. J. von Waldstein a fort was built. Until the Thirty Years' War Jičíněves was an independent rule. After the transfer to Albrecht von Wallenstein , it was incorporated into his rule Welisch . After the murder of Wallenstein in 1634, Heinrich von Schlick († 1650) acquired the rule of Welisch. His son Franz Ernst sold Jičíněves to Karl Zumsand von Sandberg in 1670. Due to a right of first refusal, Franz Josef von Schlick acquired Jičíněves back in 1686 and built a baroque palace from 1715-1717 based on plans by Jean Baptiste Mathey .
