Brada-Rybníček is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is four kilometers north of Jičín and belongs to the Okres Jičín .
geography
Brada-Rybníček is located on the south-eastern edge of the Bohemian Paradise . To the west rises the Přívýšina (463 m), behind it lies the rock area Prachovské skály . On the eastern edge of the village, the European route 442 / state route 35 runs between Jičín and Turnov .
Neighboring towns are Male Jinolice and Jinolice in the north, Podůlší in the northeast, Dílce and Kbelnice in the east, Jičín -Holínské Předměstí in the southeast, Hurychovna and Holín in the south, Horní Lochov and Prachov in the west and Pařezská Lhota and Březka in the northwest.
history
The oldest records about the Brada Castle date from 1241 to 1263. The village of the same name at the foot of the castle can be traced back to 1258.
After the abolition of patrimonial in 1850, the municipality of Brada with the district Rybníček was established. On June 29, 1866, the village was on the western edge of the battlefield of the Battle of Gitschin . From the castle ruins, Austrian artillery fired at the Prussians who were standing near Kbelnice. In 1891 Erwin Graf Schlick had a stone cross erected in Brada to commemorate the battle.
In 1961 the municipality of Brada was incorporated into Podůlší. Since November 24, 1990 it exists again under the new name Brada-Rybníček .

The municipality Brada-Rybníček consists of the districts Brada and Rybníček ( Ribnitschek ) and the settlement Bradačka.
