Petrovičky (German Klein Petrowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 19 kilometers northwest of the city center of Hradec Králové and belongs to the Okres Jičín .
geography
Petrovičky is located on the right side of the Bašnický creek in the Jičínská pahorkatina mountains . To the northwest lies the extensive forest area Bříšťanský les with the Piskovna hill (294 m).
Neighboring towns are Bříšťany in the north, Stračov in the east, Pšánky in the southeast, Petrovice in the south, Myštěves and Kanice in the west, and Kouty and Sukorady in the northwest.
history
Petrovičky was built around a fortress between the 12th and 13th centuries. The residents made their living from fruit growing, with the cultivation of apples in particular having a tradition.
After the abolition of patrimonial Petrovičky belonged from 1850 as a district of Pšanky to the district of Hradec Králové. In 1880 the village gained its independence. From 1900 Petrovičky was part of the Nová Paka district and from the 1930s of the Hořice district.
In the course of the territorial reform of 1960 Petrovičky was incorporated into Bříšťany on January 1, 1961 and at the same time came to the Okres Jičín. On April 30th, Petrovičky became part of Bašnice . The Petrovičky community has existed again since November 24, 1990.
