history

The first written mention of the village took place in 1365 as the property of Blahuta von Myslczowes , previously it was part of the Hořice domain . In 1406 the village belonged to Michal von Myštěves. It became deserted during the Hussite Wars . In 1452 Kuneš von Petrowicz bought the goods . There was also a second aristocratic seat in Myštěves ; it is believed that it is the Blažkov manor. After 1500 Jan Otmar von Holohlavy became the owner of Myštěves. In 1543 his four sons shared the property. Mikuláš and Jiřík jointly received the Myštěves fortress, the Vorwerk , the Machovský dvůr farm (probably Blažkov), the village and the Kretscham . In 1544 they divided the property. Jiřík got the festivals, the Machovský dvůr and part of the village. Jiřík's brother Prokop sold this part to Erazim from Tumnice on Skřivany in 1563. Mikuláš first signed over his share in 1547 as marriage property to his wife Saloména of Dohalice, but sold it in 1548 to Mandaléna Pecingar of Sloupno.

After the Thirty Years War , only the estate of Petr von Myštěves and two farms are shown in the berní rula for Myštěves. In 1717 the serfs waited in vain for an imperial robot patent, which was supposed to bring them relief. The burdens finally led to a peasant rebellion under the leadership of Tomáš Machek against the landlord, the Count of Breda on Skřivany. Machek was arrested and was supposed to be taken to Barchov ; During the transport he managed to escape. In 1841 the sugar manufacturer Adolf Ritter von Skřivany bought most of the goods.

After the abolition of patrimonial Myštěves formed a municipality in the Nový Bydžov district from 1850 . In 1930 the first golf course opened in Blažkov. From February 1945 during the Second World War, Soviet and English prisoners of war who had fled from hunger marches and formed the Pěst partisan detachment were hiding in the woods. Which consists of 28 men group blasted inter alia, the railroad bridge at Loučná Hora (Wiesberg) . On May 8, 1945, the partisans in Myštěves disarmed a division of VI Tiger armored vehicles and 18 SS men who had served in the Auschwitz and Majdanek concentration camps .

Since 1961 the municipality belongs to Okres Hradec Králové. In 1961 Kanice was incorporated.

After the return of Blažkov Castle, a 27-hole golf course was laid out in the castle park in 1991/92 , which is managed by Queen's Park Golf Club Myštěves.
