The railway line from Hradec Králové to Jičín runs through the village , the nearest railway station is located a good kilometer northeast in Hněvčeves. Neighboring towns are Hněvčeves in the north, Benátky in the northeast, Máslojedy in the east, Čistěves in the southeast, Horní Dohalice and Dohalice in the south, Sadová in the southwest, Dub and Klenice in the west and Horní Černůtky and Dolní Černůtky in the northwest.
history
Several archaeological finds that have been made since the beginning of the 20th century have shown that there was an early settlement. There were three prehistoric settlements in the corridors of Sovětice and Sadová.
The first written mention of one of the two festivals in Třebovětice village Sobětice took place in 1409. At that time the owner was Vladike Křibek Doubek of Třebovětice. The village is said to be much older and was founded by a Soběta from Sobětice as a manor and fortress.
After the abolition of patrimonial Sovětice and the district Sadoví formed a municipality in the Königgrätz district . The Battle of Königgrätz in the German War between Prussian and Austrian troops took place southeast of the town on July 3, 1866 on the hills Svíb and Chlum . From 1949 to 1960 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Hradec Králové-okolí, since 1961 it has belonged again to the Okres Hradec Králové. Horní Černůtky was incorporated in 1961. In 1990 Sadová broke away and has since formed its own community.
