history
Skalice was first mentioned in 1143, when Bishop Otto transferred the village to the Strahov Monastery . In the 13th century, German settlers enlarged the place, which was then given the name "Deutsch Skalitz". In 1332 a church was built east of the village, around which the village of Číbuz was laid out from 1363. Skalice and Číbuz belonged to the Lords of Dobruška from 1359 and Johann von Pottenstein from 1376 . This was followed by Marquart von Wartenberg and Peter von Kost . From 1406 both villages belonged to the Smiřický von Smiřice and became part of the Smiřice rule .
In 1623 the parish in Číbuz went out and became a branch of Holohlavy . In 1713 Skalice consisted of 28 houses; 15 farmers, eight gardeners and three residents are shown in the Theresian cadastre . In 1785 the parish in Číbuz was renewed and Skalice changed to there. From 1804 the sect of Wenceslas Grill from Černilov spread in the place. A cholera epidemic followed in 1806. In 1823 the village consisted of 23 houses and had 306 inhabitants. By 1843 the population increased to 422.
After the abolition of patrimonial Velká Skalice with the districts Malá Skalice and Číbuz formed a municipality in the Hradec Králové district from 1850 . Číbuz and Malá Skalice formed their own communities from 1872 onwards. In 1880 515 people lived in the 66 houses in Skalice. On January 4, 1894, the Jew Simon Lövy and his daughters Klara and Růžena were murdered in Groß Skalitz. In 1921 the village had 469 inhabitants. Between 1949 and 1960 the community belonged to the Okres Jaroměř. On January 1, 1961, Číbuz and in 1971 Skalička were incorporated.
