history

The first written mention of Vinary was in 1390 as the property of Bohuněk from Chotělice. Some sources also give the unreliable year 1313. The name of the village is derived from viticulture, on the southern slope of Homolka there used to be a vineyard. During the Hussite Wars , the owners of the village changed rapidly and in 1450 the village was divided. After 1516, the Lords of Pernstein bought the goods in Vinary and joined them to their Chlumetz rule . In 1545 Vinary was sold to Zachař von Pašiněves. From 1596 the Rashin von Riesenburg owned Vinary. After the Battle of the White Mountain , the goods of the brothers Johann and Adam Rashin were temporarily confiscated. In 1628 the family sold Vinary to Albrecht von Waldstein . After his murder, the village came back to the rule of Chlumetz. In the course of the raabization , the Vinary estate was parceled out in the 1770s.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vinary formed a parish in the Nový Bydžov district from 1850 . Since 1961 Vinary has belonged to Okres Hradec Králové. In the same year Janovice, Kozojídky and Smidarská Lhota were incorporated.
