Hvozdnice ( German Wosnitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located nine kilometers southwest of the city center of Hradec Králové and belongs to the Okres Hradec Králové .
geography
Hvozdnice is located on the southern slope of a knoll on the East Bohemian Table.
Neighboring towns are Těchlovice in the north, Stěžery and Hřibsko in the Northeast, Nové Hvozdnice, Vlčkovice and Plačice the east, Urbanice the southeast, Sedlice and Lhota pod Libčany the south, Roudnice in the southwest, Libčany the west and Radíkovice in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of Hvozdnice comes from 1073. The first settlement of the place took place a long time before; In the vicinity of Hvozdnice two as yet unexplored burial mounds were found, which, like those in neighboring Želí , can probably be assigned to the Aunietitz culture .
After the abolition of patrimonial Voznice formed with the district Nová Voznice from 1850 a municipality in the district of Hradec Králové . In 1949 she was assigned to the Okres Hradec Králové-okolí. In 1961 it was incorporated into Libčany and at the same time came back to Okres Hradec Králové. The community has existed again since 1992.
