history

The first written mention of Plačice took place in 1073 and 1085 in the founding deed of the Opatowitz monastery ; the village belonged to the initial endowment of the Benedictine monastery by Vratislav II. After the monastery was sacked and burned down by the Hussites under Diviš Bořek von Miletínek and Aleš von Riesenburg in 1421 , Diviš Bořek and the town of Hradec Králové took possession of the extensive possessions. According to an agreement concluded between the two, the part of the monastery property north of Plačice fell to the city, while Diviš Bořek formed the Kunburg domain from the larger southern part . Both sides argued about Plačice for two years, as the city also claimed the village. After the dispute was settled, Plačice remained in the Kunburg domain.

When Emperor Sigismund attacked the city in November 1436 in order to subjugate Ambrož Hradecký , the part of the imperial army led by Diviš Bořek set up camp at Plačice on November 6, while the other part led by Wilhelm Kostka von Postupitz camped at Wysoka . During the night, the Königgrätzer mercenaries under Captain Zdislav Mnich von Roudnice attacked the camp of Diviš Bořek, who fled with his men to the Kunburg. Then they smashed other parts of the army in the battle near Wysoka .

In the middle of the 15th century Georg von Podiebrad acquired the village. On April 5, 1465 he passed the rule of Pardubice including the former monastery villages Plačice, Vysoká , Březhrad , Lhota , Krásnice , Sedlice , Urbanice , Hvozdnice , Vlčkovice , Stěžery , Roudnička and the Krivec forest to his sons Viktorin , Heinrich and Hynek von Munsterberg . In 1472 the rule of Pardubitz fell to Heinrich von Münsterberg, he sold the village to the city of Königgrätz . Because of their participation in the Bohemian class uprising, Emperor Ferdinand I confiscated all of Königgrätzer town goods in 1547 and sold most of the drawn-in villages, including Plačice, to Johann von Pernstein . His son Jaroslav sold the village back to the city.

In 1836 the village of Platschitz or Plačice in the Königgrätzer Kreis consisted of 52 houses in which 368 people lived. 51 houses belonged to the Königgrätz lordship, one house with six residents belonged to the Stößer Fideikommissgut . There were two inns in the village. The parish and school location was Kuklena. Until the middle of the 19th century, Platschitz remained subordinate to the Imperial and Royal Königgrätz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Plačice formed a municipality in the judicial district of Königgrätz from 1849 . From 1868 the community belonged to the Königgrätz district . In 1890 618 people lived in the 61 houses in the village. In 1927 Plačice had 720 inhabitants. In 1949 Plačice was assigned to the Okres Hradec Králové-okolí; this was lifted in the course of the territorial reform of 1960, since then the village has belonged to Okres Hradec Králové. On November 26, 1971 Plačice was incorporated into the city of Hradec Králové. On March 3, 1991 the place had 738 inhabitants; at the 2001 census, 686 people lived in the 200 houses in Plačice.
