Zdechovice (German Zechowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers east of Nový Bydžov and belongs to the Okres Hradec Králové .
geography
Zdechovice is located on the East Bohemian Table on a 289 m high knoll between the Cidlina and Bystřice rivers . The hill Chlum (284 m) rises to the northwest and the Bor (271 m) to the southwest.
Neighboring towns are Prasek in the north, Kobylice and Staré Nechanice in the north-east, Nechanice , Stýskal and Kunčice in the east, Budín and Malé Babice in the south-east, Barchov and Barchůvek in the south, Měník in the south-west, Libeň in the west and Metličany in the north-west.
history
Zechowitz was first mentioned in a document in 1334. Since 1720 the name Zdechovice can be traced.
After the abolition of patrimonial Zechovice / Zechowitz formed a municipality in the Nový Bydžov district from 1850 . In 1921 the official name Zdechovice was introduced. In 1961 the place was incorporated into Prasek and assigned to the Okres Hradec Králové. The community has existed again since 1992. Zdechovice is a purely rural settlement.
