history
Radostov was created in the 11th or 12th century as part of the colonization of the forest areas of Eastern Bohemia. It is assumed that the starting point of the place was a wooden fortress with a courtyard. The first written mention of the village was in 1395. The owner at that time was Vladike Aldyk von Radostov. In 1663, the Harrach counts acquired the goods and joined them to the Stěžery rule , where the village remained until 1848.
After the abolition of patrimonial Radostov formed from 1850 consisting of the districts Starý Radostov and Nový Radostov a municipality in the Hradec Králové district . From 1878 to 1948 the village was named Starý Radostov after the larger of the two villages . In 1949 she was given the name Radostov again and was assigned to the Okres Hradec Králové-okolí. Radostov has been part of Okres Hradec Králové since 1961. In 1980 Starý Radostov and Nový Radostov lost their status as districts. Between 1985 and 1991 Radostov was incorporated into Libčany . At the beginning of 1992 the community exists again. Radostov has had a coat of arms since 2003.
