Olešnice (German Woleschnitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located two kilometers southwest of Chlumec nad Cidlinou and belongs to the Okres Hradec Králové .

geography

Olešnice is located on the right side of the Cidlina at its tributary Olešnický potok on the Chlumecká tabule ( Chlumetzer board ). The Holý vrch (258 m nm) rises to the north. To the west of the village is the Olešnický rybník pond. The D 11 / European route 67 runs to the south , at which exit 62 Chlumec nad Cidlinou-západ is located near Levín. The state road II / 327 between Chlumec nad Cidlinou and Týnec nad Labem passes just under a kilometer to the west .

Neighboring towns are Krašov, Chlumec nad Cidlinou and Kladruby in the northeast, Lučice in the east, Chárovna and Štít in the southeast, Pamětník in the south, Loukonosy and Levín in the southwest and Převýšov in the northwest.

history

The first written mention of Olessnicz comes from the year 1393. The existence of the village Lewyn is documented since 1316.

At the beginning of the 16th century Wilhelm II von Pernstein acquired both villages and added them to his rule, Chlumetz . The inhabitants of the village lived from agriculture; Wine was grown on the ridge between the town and Olešnice. There was also a water mill; a windmill has stood in Levín since 1571.

In 1833 the village of Wolleschnitz or Woležnice , located in the Bidschower district on the road to Elbe-Teinitz , consisted of 24 houses in which 181 people lived. In the village there was an inn and a hunter's house with a Heger's apartment. A brick hut lay apart. The village to the Dechanteikirche of St. Ursula in Chlumetz. Until the middle of the 19th century Wolleschnitz remained subject to the Fideikommissherrschaft Chlumetz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Volešnice formed from 1849 a municipality in the judicial district of Chlumetz . From 1868 the village belonged to the Neubydžow district and was incorporated into Lučice. In 1886 the municipality of Volešnice was established , to which the district of Levín was added in 1894 . The village has been called Olešnice since 1920 . In 1923 Levín broke away and formed its own community. On January 1, 1961, Olešnice came to Okres Hradec Králové, at the same time Levín was incorporated. In 1989 Olešnice was incorporated into Chlumec nad Cidlinou, after the Velvet Revolution the municipality of Olešnice was re-established the following year. Olešnice has had a coat of arms and a banner since 2002.

The community Olešnice consists of the districts Levín ( Lewin ) and Olešnice ( Woleschnitz ).

The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Levín nad Cidlinou and Olešnice nad Cidlinou.
