Vysoký Újezd (German Hoch Aujezd ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 14 kilometers northeast of the city center of Hradec Králové and belongs to the Okres Hradec Králové .

geography

Vysoký Újezd ​​is located on the right side of the Dědina on the hill Újezdský chlum (315 m) on the Hohenbrucker Tafel. To the west rise the Lochova (311 m) and the Velký Kopec (305 m).

Neighboring towns are Vranov and Mokré in the northeast, Městec and Očelice in the east, Klášter nad Dědinou and Ledce in the southeast, Polánky nad Dědinou in the south, Jeníkovice and Vackovská in the southwest, Librantice and Libníkovice in the west and Jílovice in the northwest.

history

The first written mention of Vysoký Újezd ​​took place in 1369. The place arose around the church, which according to an old tradition should have been built around 1150 on the Koppe.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vysoký Oujezd formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Podolí in the district of Neustadt an der Mettau . In 1914 the municipality was renamed Vysoký Újezd ​​nad Dědinou and Podolí lost the status of a district. From 1949 to 1960 the community was assigned to the Okres Dobruška . In 1961 the place came to Okres Rychnov nad Kněžnou . Between 1981 and 1990 Vysoký Újezd ​​was part of České Meziříčí . After that, the community came into being again and since January 1st 2007 it belongs to Okres Hradec Králové.
