history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1351 as the property of the deanery in Königingrätz . During the Hussite Wars , Diviš Bořek z Miletínka conquered the goods and appropriated them. During the 16th century the Dohalský von Střezetice owned the village. From them in 1575 the Vladiken Štastný von Třezetice acquired the property. They were followed in 1603 by Jindřich Tamchyn from Doubravice and Střezetice. Subsequently, the Panský von Střezetice acquired the goods and after the Thirty Years War they joined the Libčany rule . In the berní rula , the farm and seven farms are shown for the village. In 1664 the courtyard burned down. In the Theresian cadastre , 23 chalets with 78 residents are recorded for Střezetice .

After the abolition of patrimonial Střesetice / Stresetitz formed a municipality in the Königgrätz district from 1850 . On July 3, 1866, the warring Prussian and Austrian troops met in the area during the German War . During the battle of Königgrätz , units of the cavalry marched through the village. The residents fled to Pardubice and returned to the village three days after the fighting ended. In 1900, the Bohemian painter Václav Sochor described the battle between the Austrian figure-eight cuirassiers and the 3rd Neumark dragoons in his oil painting Der Reiterkampf bei Střesetitz . The 491 × 790 cm monumental painting is today (2011) in the Army History Museum in Vienna .

In 1949 the community was assigned to the Okres Hradec Králové-okolí and came after its dissolution on January 1, 1961 to the Okres Hradec Králové. 1980 Dlouhé Dvory was added as a district.
