Prasek is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers east of Nový Bydžov and belongs to the Okres Hradec Králové .

geography

The street village Prasek is on the East Bohemian Table. It extends over a length of three kilometers from the Prasek Forest in the east to the saddle between Chlumberg (284 m) and the Dubina in the valley of the Králický potok. To the northwest is the liegtasov pond.

Neighboring towns are Řehoty, Chmelovice and Opatov in the north, Kobylice in the northeast, Staré Nechanice, Nechanice and Stýskal in the east, Budín in the southeast, Zdechovice and Libeň in the south, Humburky in the southwest, Metličany and Nový Bydžov in the west and Sloupno and Králíky in the northwest.

history

Prasek was first mentioned in a document in 1312. The place belonged to the Bidschow rule . In the course of the 18th century, the village was greatly enlarged by the construction of Kötter houses . A village school opened in the middle of the 19th century.

After the abolition of patrimonial Prask formed a municipality in the Nový Bydžov district from 1850 . In 1921 the official name Prasek was introduced. 1961 the place was assigned to the Okres Hradec Králové. Between 1961 and 1991 Kobylice and Zdechovice were incorporated. Prasek consists of 228 residential buildings.
