history
Bílsko was first mentioned in 1386 as the seat of Zdislav von Blsko. Jindřich, Přibík and Petr Černín von Blsko have come down to us from 1404. Until the beginning of the 16th century there was a fortress in Blsko as the seat of the landed nobility, after which the village was attached to the Holovousy rule .
In the course of the division of the Holovousy rule among the sons of Karl Karlík von Neřetice, Adam Karlík received Blsko as an independent estate in 1574. His descendants sold the estate in 1594 together with Holovousy to Albert Vladislav Smiřický of Smiřice , who added it to his rule Hořice . After the Battle of White Mountain , the Smiřický's goods were confiscated. During the Thirty Years' War the place was depopulated and Germans settled there. In place of the desert festivals, a manor was built after the Thirty Years War, on which a brewery was operated. In 1783 the manor was divided. The cultivation of hops began in 1811 .
After the abolition of patrimonial Blsko was from 1850 part of the Libonice municipality in the Hradec Králové district. In 1880 Blsko became self-employed. At that time Blsko consisted of 29 houses and had 139 Czech residents. The parish and school location for the farming village was Chodovice.
From 1910 the village belonged to Okres Nová Paka and from the 1930s to Okres Hořice. In 1921 the name of the municipality was changed to Bílsko. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960, on January 1, 1961, it was incorporated into Dobrá Voda u Hořic; at the same time the village came to the Okres Jičín. Since November 24, 1990 the municipality of Bílsko exists again. It has been named Bílsko u Hořic since July 1, 1991 to distinguish it from places of the same name .
