The Municipio Bella Flor is a district in the Department of Pando in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The Municipio Bella Flor is one of four Municipios of the Nicolás Suárez Province and includes its eastern area. It is bordered to the west by the municipality of Porvenir , to the southwest by the municipality of Sena and to the southeast by the municipality of Puerto Rico , both belonging to the province of Manuripi , to the east by the municipality of Santa Rosa del Abuná of the province of Abuná , and to the north by the state of Acre the Republic of Brazil .
The municipality extends between about 10 ° 19 'and 11 ° 18' south latitude and 67 ° 11 'and 68 ° 30' west longitude. Its extension from west to east is up to 80 kilometers, from north to south up to 65 kilometers, and from southwest to northeast up to 175 kilometers.
The municipality comprises 42 municipalities ( localidades ), the central place of the municipality is Palacios with 40 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) on the southeastern edge of the district.

The municipality of Bella Flor is located in the Bolivian part of the Amazon basin , northeast of the foothills of the Peruvian Cordillera Oriental in the tropical rainy climate of the equatorial zone.
The mean average temperature of the region is almost 26 ° C and fluctuates only insignificantly during the year and during the day, only in the dry winter months from June to August it is slightly lower due to the nocturnal heat radiation with open cloud cover (see climate diagram). The annual precipitation is around 1,900 mm and during the rainy season shows monthly values between 150 and 300 mm for more than half of the year, only in the short dry season from June to August does the precipitation drop to monthly values below 50 mm.

The population density at the last census of 2012 was 0.7 inhabitants / km², the literacy rate among those over 6 years of age has improved from 36.6 percent ( 1992 ) to 73.6 percent ( 2001 ). The life expectancy of newborns in 2001 was 65.5 years; infant mortality had improved slightly from 6.1 percent ( 1992 ) to 5.7 percent in 2001.
74.6 percent of the population speak Spanish , 1.7 percent speak Quechua , 1.9 percent speak Aymara and 24.9 percent speak foreign languages, primarily Brazilian Portuguese due to the municipality's location . ( 2001 )
